1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing HRCalcs, users declare they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in their entirety. The agreement binds users to Smarter Business LLC’s conditions. Users acting on behalf of organizations confirm they hold authority to bind that entity.

We reserve the right to update these Terms without advance notice. The latest version is always displayed with its update date. Continued use of the Site after modifications constitutes acceptance.

2. Service Description

HRCalcs provides free HR compliance calculators accessed through web browsers. Each calculator applies rules drawn from official U.S. Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and Code of Federal Regulations sources, cited on the corresponding result page. Calculations are performed entirely in the user’s browser — no inputs are transmitted to our servers.

The Site is for informational use only. Nothing on HRCalcs constitutes legal, tax, payroll, or accounting advice. Users are responsible for verifying applicability to their specific circumstances and should consult qualified counsel before acting on any result.

Services are provided “as is” without availability guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without notice.

4. Intellectual Property

HRCalcs’s original content — including code, design, logo, text, graphics, navigation, and calculator implementations — is the property of Smarter Business LLC under U.S. and international intellectual property law.

Statutory and regulatory texts cited on the Site (e.g., CFR provisions, DOL Fact Sheets, IRS publications) are government works in the public domain. We make no ownership claim over those texts or over the numerical results a user obtains. The “HRCalcs” name and associated brand require written authorization for use.

5. Liability Limitations

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not responsible for: direct or indirect damages arising from use of or inability to access the Site; errors in input or interpretation; loss of data or profit; third-party actions; or device-specific rendering issues. Users remain solely responsible for payroll, tax, and compliance outcomes.

6. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain external links to resources (e.g., DOL, IRS, eCFR) that Smarter Business LLC does not own or control. We assume no responsibility for third-party content, policies, or practices and recommend reviewing their terms independently.

7. Advertising

The Site may be supported by advertising in the future, including Google AdSense. If enabled, ads will be served by third parties and may be personalized based on the user’s interactions with Google services. We do not endorse advertisers or their products. Opt-out options are described in our Privacy Policy. As of the last update of these Terms, advertising is not active on the Site.

8. Indemnification

Users agree to defend Smarter Business LLC and its representatives against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and costs arising from: use of the Site; violation of these Terms; or violation of third-party rights, including intellectual property and privacy.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve unlimited rights to modify or discontinue the Site or any feature, with or without notice, and accept no responsibility for resulting disruptions.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Florida.

11. Severability

If any provision is held illegal or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12. Complete Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the complete agreement regarding use of the Site and supersede all prior written or oral understandings.
