Privacy Policy

HRCalcs, operated by Smarter Business LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”), describes in this Policy how it collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to hrcalcs.com (the “Site”).
1. Information We Collect
HRCalcs provides free HR compliance calculators that run in your browser. The Site has no registration, login or user accounts. Inputs entered into any calculator (salary, hours, bonuses, state, etc.) are processed locally by JavaScript in your browser and are never transmitted to us or stored.
Email you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if your email includes it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix any issue you report. We do not add you to a mailing list and do not share your message with anyone. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time. Please do not send employee names, Social Security numbers or payroll records.
Information collected by third-party services
Through the services listed in section 3, the following technical information may be processed:
- IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses)
- Browser type and version, operating system and device type
- Pages visited, time on site and approximate location (city/country)
- Referring URL
- Which calculator was used and whether a result was copied (no input values)
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Nothing except the item marked “necessary” is stored on your device until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Google Consent Mode
The Site uses Google Consent Mode v2 with every category set to “denied” by default. If you reject cookies, or have not chosen yet, the Google tag still loads and may send cookieless measurement pings (for example, that a page was viewed) without reading or writing any cookie. Google uses these to model aggregate traffic. Advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) stay denied whatever you choose, because no advertising runs on the Site.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
No advertising is currently shown on the Site and no advertising cookies are set. We may apply to Google AdSense in the future. If ads are enabled, this Policy and the cookie banner will be updated before any ad loads, and third-party vendors, including Google, would use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You could then opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Global Privacy Control
Because the Site does not sell or share personal information for advertising, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser requires no further action: advertising signals are already denied for every visitor.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics 4 — Google LLC, Mountain View, CA — privacy policy. Data may be processed in the United States.
- Hostinger (hosting provider) — keeps standard server access logs (IP address, requested page, browser) for security and operations.
- Email provider — messages you send to info@hrcalcs.com are stored by our email service.
Fonts are served from hrcalcs.com itself; your browser does not contact Google Fonts. Each service above operates under its own privacy policy.
4. User Rights (GDPR)
Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including:
- Right of access
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
- Right to withdraw consent
Because HRCalcs does not collect personal data directly, these rights apply primarily to data processed by third-party services. To exercise any right, contact info@hrcalcs.com. We respond within 30 days.
5. CCPA Compliance (California)
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including:
- Right to know about data collected
- Right to deletion
- Right to non-discrimination
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
HRCalcs does not sell personal data to third parties. To submit a CCPA request, email info@hrcalcs.com with the subject line “CCPA Request”.
6. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Users between 13 and 16 in the EEA require parental consent. For concerns, contact info@hrcalcs.com.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures. The Site uses HTTPS to encrypt communications. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
